The area around Renåfallet is recognized as regionally to nationally valuable due to its stable, moist ravine forest and rare spray zone forest, which are unique in the region. The ravine contains 16 red-listed species, including two critically endangered and five vulnerable species. It also features four red-listed nature types, including spray zone forest and continental forest ravines.

Renåfallet is a family-friendly hiking destination, with well-marked trails leading through stunning natural surroundings. Above the waterfall, you will find unique potholes, deep gorges, and the rare mogop flower.
