Winter at Renåfjellet
Renåfjellet Ski Centre is at the heart of the winter destination. It is designed both for children learning to ski and for more experienced skiers looking for speed, jumps, rails and more challenging sections.
The ski centre has family-friendly slopes, a dedicated children’s area and children’s lift, as well as varied terrain for more experienced skiers. The Skistua lodge, café and Bjørnehiet Pub add a warm and social atmosphere to the mountain day.

Renåfjellet consists of three peaks: Tøråsen at 874 metres, Renåfjellet at 1,028 metres and Renåskarven at 962 metres above sea level. A longer circular hike connects the three peaks through forest, marshland and open mountain terrain.
From the higher parts of Renåfjellet you can see Lake Storsjøen, Sølen and Rondane. At the summit of Renåfjellet you will find Vardebua, a simple traditional timber cabin with a wood-burning stove and benches.

At the top of the ski centre is an artificial pond of around seven decares. It supplies water for snowmaking during winter, but in summer it becomes a distinctive mountain setting of its own.
Lake Storsjøen, the Mistra river and the Rena river are all within easy reach. This makes it possible to combine a day in the mountains with swimming, boating or fishing.
Cabin life in Rendalen
The first cabin plots at Renåfjellet were developed and sold in 1985. Since then, the area has grown into an established cabin community with several hundred holiday homes spread naturally through the landscape.
